After an excellent night rest we were all fit to go again. Once ready for the new day, we walked out the door towards the skytrain. On our way we got ourself a breaktfast at the McDonalds... After that we took the skytrain to the river, where we took the hon on / hop off boat down the river in the direction of the city centre. Upon arrival we went to the Grand Palace, where you will also find Wat Pha Kaew, this is a large piece of land containing a palace and a collection of (beautiful) temples.
Hello and welcome from Bangkok! The journey actually started yesterday, halfway in the afternoon we were picked up and taken to train which would take us to Schiphol Airport. The whole procedure went smoothly and the flight itself was fine as well, except that I could barely sleep aboard the airplane. After arrival on the airport a taxidriver (with poor vision) brought us to the hotel (déjà vu from China). Once checked in at the hotel and dropping our luggage at the hotelroom we decided to head to the city centre, by skytrain. This is like an above ground metro, but on a monorail.
